Hobbies that make you think +-+

Hi everyone, it's Emily here!

Each week i will be posting up one of my hobbies and recommendations for others to try out :D

So this week's theme for my hobby is hobbies that make you think.
I know that some of you may not like using your brain especially if you plan to relax in your spare time BUT you can use your brain and have fun all at the same time.

Now time to reveal what this weeks hobby is...

IT'S PUZZLES! :D

Puzzles are one of my most enjoyable hobbies that i go in and out go during phases.

They are fun, relaxing, enjoyable and helps improve concentration and logical thinking (but that's really optional) while taking your time. The beauty  of it is that it comes in all shapes and sizes with different levels and it's enjoyable whether you  piece it together by yourself or with others, not only that you can choose what you'd like to piece together.
This week i pulled out a puzzle collection that my mum brought me sometime go and spent 17 hours on but it was so worth it.

As you can see it's a round piece puzzle of Disney characters from Ravensburger.  However physical hands on puzzles can be rather expensive, which leads me to my other puzzles!

Other puzzle games i've been playing are one's that i downloaded from Play Store on to my phone include:
  • 100 Doors Full
  • Hidden Escape
  • Escape the Mansion
  • Can you escape? the room

These 4 games are very simple. What you do is, for the first 5-10 levels or so the game will go  through a tutorial mode with you, then the levels get harder as you advance. You're basically trying to find clues lying around in the room or solve problems given to you to advance til you finish the game. My favourite out of those 4 is Escape the Mansion.

Now for the recommended game!

Alchemy!

It's free on both itunes and Play Store. The game in itself addicting and straightforward. It was a phase my friends were going through, playing this game 4-5 years ago but i personally find it very enjoyable as well as frustrating ;P

Basically, you start off with the four main elements: Earth, Water, Fire and Air. There are 390 elements to create using those four elements as a starting point. All you have to do is drag on element over the other and watch it change into another element if the combination is correct. Very straightforward but not easy, it's great for relaxing and just killing time as well as makes you think for a bit.

But for those who play this game but too lazy to use your brain or are getting frustrated and annoyed at the game, you have tow options:
1. You can take the long way and drag each element of top of each other repeatedly for each individual one

OR

2. You can simply google it. the game has been out for a while so all the combinations can be found online.

Enjoy the rest of your week and see you next Thursday for my next set of hobbies :D
