Day and night wear or winter

Hey guys its Dipisha here!

So this week's fashion topic is 'Day and Night wear for winter'.
Figuring out what to wear in winter is so much more complicated than summer. There is just so much to consider- how many layers of clothing do I need? Is it too cold outside to wear a short dress? Will I freeze if I wear open shoes?

Well it's actually so much easier than it sounds. First of all you should be wearing whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. And second, sometimes the simpler the clothes you wear make you look better than going overboard with styling.

For day time its best to go simple like shown in my previous post or just go with jeans, a top, cardigan and a scarf or a beanie.

For night time I guess you can go a little, just a little overboard. Darker colours like maroon, sapphire, black and dark grey work best for night wear. If its for a special occasion like dinner or a party then don't be scared to wear a little dress because you think it's too cold outside. For one reason, your venue most probably will be indoors- because who wants to freeze to death outside, and you shouldn't compromise fashion with the weather.
And if it is actually too cold outside and your venue is out doors then there is no need to worry as there's so many ways to style yourself and look fabulous.

A little extra note: for night time add dark red lipstick to your makeup for that extra confident look.

Banzai Japan!

Hi everyone, Emily here!

Today's theme is BANZAI JAPAN!~~~~~~~

So Japan is well known for many things but the thing i love most about Japan is the AWESOME manga and anime created each year!

Awesome story plots with beautiful drawings that grabs the reader's attention and makes you want more and more!

So manga is basically the Japanese comics and anime is Japanese animation/cartoons. They are erfect for anytime of the day with a variety to choose from and many genres. From your "calssics" comedy, romance and action genres to historical, sci-fi genres even "taboo" genres such as yaoi, shounen ai, yuri and shoujo ai which is basically translated bluntly gays, boy love, lesbian and girl love. So like i said, many variety to choose from ;)

Sometimes when mangas get adapted into anime or verse or they simple stay as a manga or an anime. examples of mangas turning into anime include: *Note these are really old school* Sailor Moon, Sakura Cardcaptor and Dragon Ball.

Other popular manga turned anime include: Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Fairytail and many more.

The recommendations for this week that have both manga and anime are:

Akatsuki no Yona

Which translates to Yona of the dawn. It talks about a crimson haired princess, who's childhood friend as well as first love murders her father. She escapes the castle with another childhood friend who also serves as her body guard to track down four begins who have received blessings dragons that will serve and protect her.

Akagami no shirayuki-hime

Meaning Snow White with the red hair. Shirayuki was a young girl born with unique apple-red hair. She meets a famous but foolish Prince Raji, who falls in love with her at first sight and orders her to become his concubine. With nowhere else to go, Shirayuki cuts her hair and escapes to a neighboring country. While traversing through the forests, she meets a young boy, Zen, who helps her after she boldly cures his wounds but then gets poisoned by an apple given to Shirayuki.

And lastly

Hyouka

Oreki Hotaro is a high school boy, who always acts passively. One day, he enters "Koten Bu (Classic Literature Club)" as recommended by his elder sister. There he meets Chitanda Eru, Fukube Satoshi, and Ibara Mayaka. Chitanda is a calm beautiful girl but she turns into an embodiment of curiosity once she says, "I'm interested in it (Watashi, Kininarimasu)". Fukube is a smiling boy with a fantastic memory, he never deduces anything on his own. Ibara is a short girl and is strict with others and herself. She loves Fukube, but he always dodges her approaches. They begin to investigate a case that occurred 33 years ago. Hints of the mystery are buried in an old collection of works of the former members of Koten Club. The collection is titled "Hyouka

Anyways enjoy and see you next week ~~~

Winter Fashion Tips and Tricks

Hey everyone, it's Dipisha here today!

I'll be posting here each week about some of my hobbies and interests. These will mostly be about fashion trends and tips, and also some activities I like to do here and there :)
So since this is my first blog post I thought I'd share with you guys some fashion tips for winter wear. Now, over the past few years winter has been linked with very dark colours like black, maroon and dark blues but lately I've noticed that some of the more lighter and neutral colours have taken over.

It's all about being able to match the different shades of neutral colours to create an amazing combination. Since it's winter it'll be easier to create an outfits with different shades of colours. With so much layering going on, it's possible to add different shades of cardigans, scarves, tops, leggings, jeans and even boots.
Speaking of layering, winter is a great excuse to wear thinner material clothing. Well since you'll be using the art of layering to create an outfit, your not going to need to worry about being warm during the cold days.

So there you have it, some easy tips to get the best fashion looks for winter. Of course these are only the basics. You can add your own touch and create even cuter outfits. Anyways thanks for reading this post and tune in every week to find out more tips and tricks about the world of fashion :)

Hobbies that make you think +-+

Hi everyone, it's Emily here!

Each week i will be posting up one of my hobbies and recommendations for others to try out :D

So this week's theme for my hobby is hobbies that make you think.
I know that some of you may not like using your brain especially if you plan to relax in your spare time BUT you can use your brain and have fun all at the same time.

Now time to reveal what this weeks hobby is...

IT'S PUZZLES! :D

Puzzles are one of my most enjoyable hobbies that i go in and out go during phases.

They are fun, relaxing, enjoyable and helps improve concentration and logical thinking (but that's really optional) while taking your time. The beauty  of it is that it comes in all shapes and sizes with different levels and it's enjoyable whether you  piece it together by yourself or with others, not only that you can choose what you'd like to piece together.
This week i pulled out a puzzle collection that my mum brought me sometime go and spent 17 hours on but it was so worth it.

As you can see it's a round piece puzzle of Disney characters from Ravensburger.  However physical hands on puzzles can be rather expensive, which leads me to my other puzzles!

Other puzzle games i've been playing are one's that i downloaded from Play Store on to my phone include:
  • 100 Doors Full
  • Hidden Escape
  • Escape the Mansion
  • Can you escape? the room

These 4 games are very simple. What you do is, for the first 5-10 levels or so the game will go  through a tutorial mode with you, then the levels get harder as you advance. You're basically trying to find clues lying around in the room or solve problems given to you to advance til you finish the game. My favourite out of those 4 is Escape the Mansion.

Now for the recommended game!

Alchemy!

It's free on both itunes and Play Store. The game in itself addicting and straightforward. It was a phase my friends were going through, playing this game 4-5 years ago but i personally find it very enjoyable as well as frustrating ;P

Basically, you start off with the four main elements: Earth, Water, Fire and Air. There are 390 elements to create using those four elements as a starting point. All you have to do is drag on element over the other and watch it change into another element if the combination is correct. Very straightforward but not easy, it's great for relaxing and just killing time as well as makes you think for a bit.

But for those who play this game but too lazy to use your brain or are getting frustrated and annoyed at the game, you have tow options:
1. You can take the long way and drag each element of top of each other repeatedly for each individual one

OR

2. You can simply google it. the game has been out for a while so all the combinations can be found online.

Enjoy the rest of your week and see you next Thursday for my next set of hobbies :D

7 Tips for Taking a better Photos

One of my hobbies is photography. You don not have to take a professional courses to be a good photographer, actually, you can take a professional photos with your own smart phone if you follow these tips:

1-Look your subject in the eye

Direct eye contact can be as engaging in a picture as it is in real life. When taking a picture of someone, hold the camera at the person's eye level to unleash the power of those magnetic gazes and mesmerizing smiles. For children, that means stooping to their level. And your subject need not always stare at the camera. All by itself that eye level angle will create a personal and inviting feeling that pulls you into the picture.

2-Use a plain background

A plain background shows off the subject you are photographing. When you look through the camera viewfinder, force yourself to study the area surrounding your subject. Make sure no poles grow from the head of your favorite niece and that no cars seem to dangle from her

3-Move in close

If your subject is smaller than a car, take a step or two closer before taking the picture and zoom in on your subject. Your goal is to fill the picture area with the subject you are photographing. Up close you can reveal telling details, like a sprinkle of freckles or an arched eyebrow.
But don't get too close or your pictures will be blurry. The closest focusing distance for most cameras is about three feet, or about one step away from your camera. If you get closer than the closest focusing distance of your camera (see your manual to be sure), your pictures will be blurry.
Far
Better

 4-Lock the focus

If your subject is not in the center of the picture, you need to lock the focus to create a sharp picture. Most auto-focus cameras focus on whatever is in the center of the picture. But to improve pictures, you will often want to move the subject away from the center of the picture. If you don't want a blurred picture, you'll need to first lock the focus with the subject in the middle and then recompose the picture so the subject is away from the middle.
Usually you can lock the focus in three steps. First, center the subject and press and hold the shutter button halfway down. Second, reposition your camera (while still holding the shutter button) so the subject is away from the center. And third, finish by pressing the shutter button all the way down to take the picture.

4

  5-Take some vertical pictures

Is your camera vertically challenged? It is if you never turn it sideways to take a vertical picture. All sorts of things look better in a vertical picture. From a lighthouse near a cliff to the Eiffel Tower to your four-year-old niece jumping in a puddle. So next time out, make a conscious effort to turn your camera sideways and take some vertical pictures.

Good

Better

 6-Move it from the middle

Center-stage is a great place for a performer to be. However, the middle of your picture is not the best place for your subject. Bring your picture to life by simply moving your subject away from the middle of your picture. Start by playing tick-tack-toe with subject position. Imagine a tick-tack-toe grid in your viewfinder. Now place your important subject at one of the intersections of lines.
You'll need to lock the focus if you have an auto-focus camera because most of them focus on whatever is in the center of the viewfinder.

 Boring

Better

 7-Be a picture director

Take control of your picture-taking and watch your pictures dramatically improve. Become a picture director, not just a passive picture-taker. A picture director takes charge. A picture director picks the location: "Everybody go outside to the backyard." A picture director adds props: "Girls, put on your pink sunglasses." A picture director arranges people: "Now move in close, and lean toward the camera."
Most pictures won't be that involved, but you get the idea: Take charge of your pictures and win your own best picture awards.b
